Institute for Black Charities and its Chapters sponsor local umbrella federations to raise funds in employee workplace campaigns for approved non-profit organizations. Organizations that provide services to Black, high-risk under-served communities are invited to join the federation. IBC provides organizations with technical assistance throughout the process to ensure compliance with regulations and the criteria for campaign participation.

The local federations participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the federal government's campaign for all federal civilian military and postal employees nationwide. IBC and Chapters also participate in more than 25 State, Local and Corporate campaigns where the opportunity is provided for employees to contribute to qualified nonprofit organizations. Participation is only limited by the written criteria. WE CAN HELP!

The Institute for Black Charities is excited about the future of fundraising for Black organizations. We are working to implement strategies that will strengthen the ability for organizations to gain access to markets, which have traditionally shut them out, or where a disproportionate share of the funding is received. IBC's master plan of action seeks to change the fundraising landscape with actions that will bring significant dollars to our Black institutions.

Membership in the Institute for Black Charities Federations is open to recognized 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit organizations that provide human health services in their local communities. An associate membership status is available to organizations that are actively pursuing 501 (c)(3) status with the IRS. To become a member, simply click on the appropriate membership section, complete the application, and download. Contact us for more information or assistance info@blackcharities.net.
We look forward to our working together and assisting in improving your organization's strength, credibility, and financial ability to provide increased services to people in need.
